Some features that makes learning experiences even smoother by TutorPace

Some features that makes learning experiences even smoother by TutorPace Every subject has its own kind of pros and cons. Recently I read in a newspaper that students of today are opting more for commerce subjects than science. As per their logic they feel science to be very dull and bring subject. They more feel that it does not provide you with different scope to study further. Only few selected courses and professions are bound under science stream. Boredom accompanies them are a certain point of time. Today’s young generation have opted for commerce as their further subject. Many intelligent students have left science stream after their class ten examinations. In the higher education they have opted for commerce. Economics can be said to be an interesting subject Today one of the prime subjects of commerce is in great demand and that is economics. Economics is one of the most interesting subjects according to me and every single thing comes with logic. It provides you a hint of mathematics as well and you can compare the definitions and justifications it provides you for every single topic. In higher classes the subject is divided into two major parts and that is macro and micro economics. Both the parts are important and thus it helps a student to know more about the subject. The subject can be interesting but at higher level it is much difficult to cope up with the subject without any proper help. You need to have guidance beside you if you want in-depth knowledge of the subject. Private tutors are available who can help you with the subject, but the availability of good private teachers is now a day not available with ease. People are much into professionalism and thus it has hampered their teaching profession as well. They do not want to devote their entire time in one subject entirely and super fast method is adapted by them for faster covering of all the topics. Many students are not able to get what exactly the teacher is teaching them. They are not familiar with the subject and thus it brings difficulties to their life to get into the subject. Economics can be learnt with online tutors In such a crisis when you do not know what to do and how to complete the subject then you have take help from online tutors. Yes online tutors also help you to know the different dimensions of the subject. The subject becomes easy for you after you get that help which is desired by every student to understand the subject better. The process may be new but it is gaining popularity with the passage of time. People and students as well like the concept and thus they are making it more and more familiar. The online tutoring facility has various types of benefits that can be shared here so that the ones who are reading the entire blog can know what advantages they will encounter, if they enroll themselves in any of the online tutoring courses. Features of online tutoring courses Online courses are found very rare and among them only few institutes make it a point to provide you with such types of features. A good institute will only help you in this certain way. A good institute has some of the expert teachers. The teachers are appointed on the basis of interview which is tough and thus they have to crack the interview in order to get the chance of being an online teacher. The teachers involved in any of the online institute have fair knowledge about the subject and can go deep into the subject to teach the student with much better prospects. Online teachers first tracks down the weakness and the good points of a student and then plan a strategy to teach the student. This helps any weak student also to know the subject better and the teacher also can guide the student in a much better way. The availability of the teachers is all round the clock. Yes, you heard it right. The teachers are always available for the students. It depends on the student as how they want to take up the classes. They can attend the classes whenever they want and as per their convenience. This is one of the biggest facilities that a student can get from his or her teacher. Having a teacher all round the clock is not that easy for anyone. Online tutors provide you with this. The teachers present at these institutes not only teach the subject but also performs some other kind of work as well. They help the students to conduct their various types of assignments and projects assigned to them. This is a great relief for any student as it saves much of your time while performing the activity. The home works can also be helped by the teachers in many cases. What if you have an individual teacher beside you all round the clock who will help you and only you? Think about it and you will feel that you got something very good and great. See, this type of facility is also provided by online tutoring institutes. The institutes help each student by providing a single teacher for them who will help them and only them. This brings in a sense of self confidence among them and thus it helps in making the student get rid of all the problems that they have. All facilities available at TutorPace The above facilities are available at TutorPace. When you have such a competent partner by your side then you can easily go for the learning expedition through the help of this. The teachers are great, there are various types of services and the cost is also not so high. Yes, to your surprise, it must be said that the charges in TutorPace are not too high and it can be afforded by any middle class family with ease. Economics homework help is also delivered by TutorPace.

Exponential Equations

Exponential Equations Exponential equations are basically the tool which is helpful in evaluating the values of unknown variables which are generally in powers. This tool is helpful in evaluating the exponential equations either by comparison method or by taking the logarithmic function in both sides of the equation. This tool eases the calculation steps and hence it easily evaluates the value of unknown variable in exponent or we can say in power. The above concept can be better clarified by taking the suitable examples and the examples are shown below. In this case, for better understanding we will take both the cases that is one of comparison in case of same base and logarithmic method in case of different base. Question 1:- Find x if 3^ (4x) = 27^ (x+1) Solution 1:- Given 3^ (4x) = 27 ^ (x+1) This further implies, 3 ^ (4x) = 3^ (3x+3) Since bases are equal on both sides, it means that its power must also be same. Therefore, 4x = 3x + 3 On solving, we get 4x 3x = 3 Hence x = 3 Question 2:- Find x if 5^x = 10 Solution 2:-Given 5^ x = 10 Since bases are not same, so in this case we need to apply log both sides, Therefore log 5^x = log 10 So x log 5 = log 10 Therefore, x = log 10/log5 By writing down the values of log 10 and log 5, we can easily evaluate the actual value of x.

Awkward Phrasing

Awkward Phrasing The Virtual Writing Tutor has thousands of rules to catch grammar errors and word choice errors, but only just a few to catch awkward phrasings. The reason is that an awkward phrasing is not necessarily incorrect. It is, well, awkward. As such, unless the awkward phrase is really jarring or really common, I usually let it slide. Anyway, it is sometimes difficult to know what exactly is meant by phrases such as, according to my memory, he proposed to me, a car that is a gift, my big parents house, and it hurt my heart. The Virtual Writing Tutor grammar checker is, after all, a machine. It doesnt understand you. It merely scans your sentences for patterns in its database of error definitions. It dont want it to misinterpret what you have written and give you bad feedback. However, here are a few awkward phrasings I couldnt let slide. You must admit, some readers would be left scratching their heads by these surprising sentences. According  to  me/my  memory AWKWARD:   According to me, the best way to get downtown is to take the train.BETTER:   In  my  opinion, the best way to get downtown is to take the train. AWKWARD:   According to my memory, my most spectacular success has to be back when I was 10 years old and I won a sword fighting championship.BETTER:   When I think back on my life, my most spectacular success has to be back when I was 10 years old and I won a sword fighting championship. EXPLANATION:    The phrase According  to  X means If what X says is true. It is strange to doubt the truth of ones own memories. You may often suspect that you have forgotten one or more details, but only mentally deranged people have memories of things that never happened. If you are concerned that you might have might have remembered a detail incorrectly, you can say, If memory serves  me  well or If I am not mistaken. When you say according to me, you sound crazy. Proposed  to  me AWKWARD:   While I was walking, I saw my friend and he proposed to me to embark in his car.BETTER:   While I was walking, I saw my friend and he proposed that I embark in his car. BETTER  STILL:   While I was walking, I saw my friend and he invited  me  to get in his car. EXPLANATION:    The most common context in which we use the phrase he  proposed  to  me is when we wish to say he proposed that we get married. It sounds very formal. Otherwise, companies might propose solutions, as in, my company had  proposed  to  me  that I could come back to work after having the baby which you can find in the BNC-COCA corpus here. In any case, the phrase he proposed to me sounds overly formal for most contexts. A new car that is gift AWKWARD:   She got a new car that is gift from her parents.BETTER:   She got a new car as a gift from her parents. AWKWARD:   Sarah got a job that is nurse.BETTER:   Sarah got a job as a nurse. EXPLANATION:    A relative clause following that helps us identify which one is being discussed. You might say, I bought the dress that was on sale. It tell us, not any dress but a specific dress. Since we already know in our example sentence that she got a car, we dont need to ask Which car? We already know. Rather, what we want to know is why she got the car or how she got it. In such a case, as a gift tells us more useful information. Similarly, we know in our second example that Sarah got a job. Which job is obvious. It is the job that Sarah got. What we want to know is what kind of job. A job as a nurse provides the information we dont already know. My big parents house AWKWARD:   I went to my big parents house early in the morning.BETTER:   I went to my eldest uncles house early in the morning. EXPLANATION:    Only a Korean or somebody who is familiar with Korean culture would understand what a big parent or a big father or a big house is. English does not have a word for the patriarchal head of the family in this way, so you must specify that you are referring to your fathers eldest brother when you write in English. Otherwise, it sounds awkward. It hurt my heart AWKWARD:   When I saw the dogs in their cages, it hurt my heart. BETTER:   When I saw the dogs in their cages, it made my heart ache. EXPLANATION:    While the meaning will be clear to most readers, it hurt my heart is not a common expression in English for the emotional pain we feel when we see something sad or pitiable. Instead, we say my heart aches for X, or it made my heart ache to see X. Please follow and like us:

How to get started with Online Tuition via Skype

How to get started with Online Tuition via Skype Have you ever thought about Tutoring from the comfort of your own home? Online tutoring is an ever-growing field as more and more people are finding the ease of being taught in the comfort of their own homes more viable. Online tuition connects students with private tutors via the internet and the lessons are carried out in real time. This guide is aimed at tutors hoping to set themselves up as an online tutor; widening their student scope and making themselves more available. Installing Skype The first (and most fundamental) thing is to have a computer that is linked to the internet with a good broadband connection. It is also important to invest in a microphone headset as the sound quality will be better than a built-in webcam and microphone that many computers come with today. The microphone headset will usually cost around 10 to 15. The next thing to do is make sure you have Skype on your computer. Skype is basically internet based communication software by Microsoft that specialises in providing free video chat and free voice calls for users from all over the world. Skype users will only require Skype credit (where you will need to pay) when calling landline or mobile numbers. Setting up a Skype account is an easy task and many tutors will already have a Skype account ready. But for those that don't here is a quick and easy guide for setting up a Skype account: First you'll need to download and install the latest version of Skype. It's a very easy process and it is completely free. Just follow these nine simple steps: Type www.skype.com in the address line of your internet browser. Click the download button on the home page and Skype will begin to download. (If the download doesn't start automatically you can start it manually by clicking Start Download Again). If you are prompted to save or open the program always choose save the file to your hard drive. Do not open or run the program during the download process! . Choose an easy to remember location (such as Windows Desktop) and click OK. When your download is complete double-click the Skype Setup program (or click Run if you have the option). When the installer program launches it will ask you to choose a language; select it from a drop-down menu. Read and accept the End User License Agreement to proceed. You may be asked to install certain other browser add-ons but if you don't want them just uncheck the box and click Next. Click the Options button. This page gives you the option to launch Skype as soon as the installation is complete. The box is already checked (just uncheck the box if you don't want it to launch right away). Click I agree - Install. Skype will ask you to set up an account by entering a Name, a Skype Name and Password. The next screen asks for your e-mail, country and city. Once you complete this Skype will automatically launch. And that's the installation process done! You are now well on your way to start the online tutoring process! Before that, let's take a look at how to get started with Skype. Getting Started With Skype Getting started with SkypeOnce the installation process has been completed a screen will pop up to help you get started exploring Skype. You'll be able to: See what you can do with Skype. Here you'll find information about both the free and paid features of Skype. Check that your sound functions.Test your speakers, microphone and Webcam to make sure they are all working properly. Find friends and import contactsYou'll be able to search for people and check whether your email contacts are on Skype. After you have explored and got to know a bit more about the program you'll want to set up your Skype name and password. Your Skype name is what other people on Skype see when they contact you i.e. GeographyTutorEmma133. Setting up your Skype name and password: Click the Don't have a Skype Name? (The Create a New Account page opens). In the Enter Skype Name box, enter the name you have decided to use. Skype names must start with a letter, be between 6 and 32 characters long, include letters and numbers and have no spaces. They should always be in lower-case. Choose a Password and enter it in the Password box. A Skype Password must be between 6 and 20 characters and must contain at least one number and one letter. All Skype passwords are case sensitive so make sure you pick a password that is easy for you to remember! Select the check box to accept the Skype End User License Agreement and Privacy Statement. Click Next to continue to another Create Your Account Screen and enter your email address. This is optional but recommended. Enter your country, region and city.Again optional but useful for when others search for you. Now that you have your Skype set up you are ready to start your online tutoring. It's a good idea to set up your Skype profile by providing some information that will help other users find you more easily. To do this just open your Skype Profile screen and choose Skype -Profile - Edit and fill out any relevant information you feel necessary. It would be a good idea to fill in the AboutMe section just to give students an overview of who you are and what you offer in terms of tutoring. Making A Skype Call Now let's take a quick look at how to initiate a Skype call so that you are ready to contact your student for their first online lesson. Double-click the student's Skype Name. This will open your contact's profile window. On the screen there will be a video and a telephone icon.Double-clicking the video icon you will initiate a video call with your student. Make reading the focus of world book day - Tutor Hunt Blog

Make reading the focus of world book day Make reading the focus of world book day - not dressing up Make reading the focus of world book day - not dressing upSchoolsI had become aware that the 1st of March was some kind of `dress down` day for schools, for every year I would see schoolchildren attired in fancy dress on this date. As time drew on my perceptibility seemed somehow to improve, despite my worsening eyesight, and I observed that the children were dressed as characters from literature: I noticed the Cat in the Hat, The Gruffalo, Oliver twist - and of course Harry Potter with his coterie of chums I eventually discovered that this annual costume jamboree was `World Book Day,` also known as International Day of the Book, and World Book and Copyright Day. The event was founded by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in 1995. Its chosen date, March 1st, has special significance in the literary world, being the death date of both William Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes. Despite the literary revelry, and the fun that `fancy dress` always brings, many people have raised concerns that the meaning and significance of the day are being obscured by trivialities. Neil Roskilly, the CEO of the Independent Schools Association (ISA), made a judgemental tweet last month, expressing his concerns over what World Book Day was becoming: `World book day is wonderful, but what a shame that commercial interests see it as an opportunity to sell costumes and some schools pander to this. More unnecessary pressure on some struggling families.` Many parents have complained that it can be extremely stressful and expensive to acquire the latest outfit for their child. There is also the worry that all with the dressing up, and scoring each other`s costumes (a practice that takes place at many schools) the true meaning of World Book Day is being obscured. In reaction to this, many schools are curtailing the fancy dress aspect of the day, and choosing to focus more on its literary side. Combois primary school in Northumberland tweeted out a notice, telling all parents that pupils would have to remain in school uniform: `Reminder we are NOT dressing up on World Book Day this year due to the expense and parental feedback from last year.` The focus of the day should be to highlight the act of reading itself - the power of the book to transport us to other realms, other times; to give us the most convincing idea what it would be like to inhabit the soul and skin of another human being. As a child I was an inveterate reader (now I`m merely a compulsive one!) - preferring what was on the pages of my books to anything shining out of the television. I honestly can`t recall my love of literature being kindled by anything I read at school though. I never liked the idea that someone else would be choosing what I would be reading. I believe a lot of people are, in their adult life, averse to reading any piece of fiction, because they associate the practice (the chore) with their schooldays, and think it some arduous task that they will be later tested on. It must indeed be hard to lose yourself in a book if you believe you will later be quizzed on what you have read, set comprehension tasks on certain chapters, and asked to compose a synopsis of the `deeper message` of the text. If children are not given the opportunities to discover books for themselves they may come to classify them as just another academic chore, rather than an endless realm of adventures revealed, char acters brought to life, and knowledge disclosed. There is a general consensus on the importance of parents reading to their children. A recent study published in the Australian journal `Economics of Education Review` concluded that reading to children on a regular basis, at a regular time slot (perhaps just before bed each night) `has positive and significant effects on reading skills and cognitive skills of these children.` Despite the abundance of evidence that reading to children has lasting positive effects, both behavioural and academic, there are worrying signs that the practice of `bedtime` stories is diminishing. Nielsen Book Research carries out an annual `Understanding the Children`s Book Consumer survey,` and its findings from last year show that only around half (51%) of pre-school children being read to daily. This is a precipitous drop from its 2013 survey, which had 69% of pre-school children enjoying a daily reading session with a parent. Despite my curmudgeon judgements, I truly believe world book day to be a wonderful thing. It gives children the chance to express their enthusiasm for reading, and revel in the vast array of fictional characters. I just feel it would be a shame if the spectacle of the event overshadowed what it stands for. 2 years ago0Add a Comment
